Acupuncture for addiction treatment

In the inpatient treatment program at Marworth, acupuncture is offered as an accompaniment during the detoxification phase of treatment. The optional sessions are performed by a naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist and follow the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA) ear protocol which was specifically developed to be used in addiction treatment settings

Benefits of acupuncture
The most common benefits associated with acupuncture in addiction treatment include:

Patients interested in adding acupuncture to their detox plan can attend up to three sessions a week. The sessions are in a small group setting on campus and last about 30-45 minutes.
